On Sunday the 15th August, the under 10’s from across the peninsula will battle it out for the 2021 MPJFL Lightning Premiership!
This annual event is always a blockbuster, and one of the highlights of the MPJFL season.
This season Crib Point JFC will best be hosting the tournament, which will be played on both front and back ovals of the venue. This is a great opportunity for CPJFC to showcase their new facilities and host all other MPJFL clubs in what is always a high-spirited and enjoyable affair.
This years tournament, much like previous years, will be a round robin competition that will see all participating teams play a minimum of four matches each. The 14 teams will be split into groups, with 6 teams playing on Cyril Fox Reserve (back oval) which will be split into two grounds, and a group of 8 that will compete on Crib Point Recreation Oval (front oval) which will be split into 3 grounds.
Games are to consist of 2×20 minute halves, with a 5-minute half time break.
There will be a live ladder running for the day, calculating all results, and providing all teams with a ranking after each match. The top two ranked sides in both pools will compete in a semi-final, with the winners fighting it out for leagues U10 honours.
