2022 – That’s a wrap!
The MPJFL would like to extend congratulations to the 17 teams that have claimed the 2022 Mornington Peninsula Junior Football League Premierships!
The first finals series after a two-year break did not disappoint, filled with close contests, upsets and moments of individual and team brilliance. The excitement of the finals was perfectly encapsulated on Grand Final weekend, with two of the grand finals (Under 12 White & Under 13) going to extra time to find a winner.
A special thank you goes out to the Crib Point and Somerville Junior Football Clubs, for hosting the 2022 Finals Series. Hosting the MPJFL Finals Series is an enormous undertaking, especially considering the challenges that we faced in regard to ground condition and availability. Both committees, led by Ryan Wilson (CPJFC) and Nat John (SJFC) worked around the clock to ensure that we were able to facilitate an enjoyable finals series for the participants of the league. To make the finals happen, we rely on the cooperation of a variety of stakeholders to execute the event. As such, we would like to thank the Red Hill JFC for allowing us to use their venue over the first two weeks, as well as the Tyabb JFC for supplying their venue for the Grand Finals.
The MPJFL would also like to thank and congratulate all of the players, coaches and volunteers that participated in the finals series. The finals series was played in great spirits, with exemplary sportsmanship on display throughout all the age groups.

Congratulations to these teams for a terrific season, and for taking the most of their opportunities within the finals series to finish the year as premiers!
Thank you to the umpires for their efforts throughout the final’s series, in particular Umpire Coach/Co-ordinator Cooper Marriott, and Umpire Administrator Stephanie Firth, for their tireless work within the umpiring department in 2022.
We would also like to thank league photographer Gary Bradshaw for his coverage of the finals, capturing the moments of the series for all to enjoy for years to come. This year Gary was accompanied by the team from Gary Bradshaw Photography, including Jordan Oliva, Jason Stammers and Kaye Bradshaw, who all did a superb job. Gary Bradshaw Photography is a partner of the league, and we ask clubs and participants to visit his website via the below link to show your support of his images:

Lastly, we would like to thank the club committee members and volunteers for the dedication and commitment they demonstrate year after year to get their club up and running. Without these volunteers, there would be no community sport, so please get in touch with your club committee to show your gratitude.
